Gear lever rubber

Just a little niggle for a Friday afternon, and one that's easily cured, but.....................

Does any body elses gear lever rubber rotate on the lever. It's really anoying as, with my MX boots, it means I keep fluffing gear changes?

No, but Im considering one of the Nippy's extenders for my MX boots. Should solve any problems (maybe!)

Just put a dab of Super Glue between the Rubber & Lever

Job done !

Mmm, had been thiniking of thr glue/wrap some tape around the lever route, but Thanks Dr Rich), the extender looks just the ticket.
One is on order.

How about a bit of safety wire wrapped tightly around the rubber? That should stop it from rotating.

Gear lever rubber.

On a previous bike I had a similar problem which I cured by fitting a Kickstart rubber ( which has a closed end ) on the gearlever which prevented it from rotating and added a rubber ball over the steel end ! Cost :- GBP 1 .95p
Try it it really does help. Mike.
