Does anyone know how to adjust the position of the gear lever. Mine is a bit too high, i thought about stickin a block of wood to my boots but i don't think that would look too clever

Brian,

the vertical link has a screw thread adjustment on it...

...pretty sure you'll have to undo the clip, disconnect, adjust and re-assemble to make the adjustment.

Mike:)

the threaded rod is called a rose joint, its adjustable, undo the lock nuts, and turn it to move the lever up or down.

that takes me back to the 70's and the days of 'Custom Car' - got loads of back issues in the garage, go for a tommy tank now and then..........rose joints...............aaahhhhh

Pedantic mode :

No it isnt called a rose joint.

Rose were the name of one of the first companies to make rod end bearings.

Rod ends can be male or female threaded or a push-in insert

Rose is to rod ends
as
hoover is to vacuums
