Gear selector bolt

I know one other forum member has had this issue, but my 2018 GSA Rallye had the bolt fall out and it’s only got 4000 miles on it.

Thankfully I noticed it was loose and put the shift lever in my pocket and left it in 3rd. Called into nearest bike shop Kent Motorcycles (Honda dealer on the A2) and they brought out a selection box of old bolts.

Happened to me last year in Sardinia. Gear selector sheared and it took 4 days to get a replacement. Bodge job not possible. In retrospect was probably my fault for not properly tightening bolt, after adjusting it, and adding a dab of loctite.

This also happened to my on a 2019 gsa. New bolt fitted with loctite under warranty.
