Gear Shift Assist

In a nutshell :D, its been a hard weekend :beerjug:
My background in computer programming means I take everything literally.

If the Mrs sent me to the shop and said "can you go down the shop and get a pint of milk, if they sell eggs bring back a dozen".... I'd go home with a dozen pints of milk :D

Taken from the gearstick stick side, where my finger is, the plug in located on the back of the box. If you have the plug than your good to go, hope that helps.

DD. Thanks again for your very kind help. I only realised how difficult it was to get the photos you took there because I then tried to take photos of my plug (yep , my bike has the plug).

here is the picture :

And for everyone's , my Europe spec 2014 bike's VIN starts Z128### .

just check with your dealer , they will cross refer your VIN with the system (can't go wrong) , and then have a look at your bike re that plug.

cheers and thanks again DD.

Premium Product ~ "Awesome"

Well, I dropped my bike into Cannon BMW here in the UK at 08.00 today to have GSAP fitted.

I borrowed their R1200RT for a couple of hours and which is similarly fitted with GSAP.

I have previously owned a S1000RR with factory fitted quick shift by way of BMW background.

RR quick shift is great, very smooth but obviously only goes 'up' (and which it does very smoothly, the gearbox being smoother than the RT/GS in any event).

On the RT it's a really good bit of kit, can certainly hustle through the box though there seems to be no popping (standard silencer fitted) and perhaps, in places, not particularly free-flowing/forgiving which may be down to the fact that RT has higher gearing for touring.

Anyway, have ridden 40 miles in the rain on the GS since, mine has Akra silencer without baffle fitted.

Is absolutely spot-on, a great product and which works seamlessly ~ very, very impressed.

The tiniest of 'blips' automatically performed on shifting is the icing on the cake and the speed at which you can get through the box, up or down, is nothing but impressive.

Astounding in fact.

Sounds fantastic with Akra, feels like a different bike and certainly performs in a more spirited fashion than the RT.

Impressed/Recommended.

Hi Fluffy, good feedback. I have the Akra on my 2014 GSA and the jury was out for me on installing the QSPro. My question to you is, on downshift do you still get to hear the burble/popping from the engine (something which I love btw)?

Good review. I need to stop reading this thread - I'm starting to convince myself that I need one of these + WC:)

Good review Fluffy, nice to here an opinion from someone used to a quick shifter. Having had one on my K1300 and having ridden 3 S1000RR and 1 S1000R makes me wish even more I could have one on my GS as I know it suits my ridding!

Enjoy and keep those reports coming

My bike is too early..... Aaarrgghhhhhhh .... :blast :D

Well according to the trans logic web site, they state HD @ Maidstone as one of the official installers of their units; now I haven't spoken to them as of yet, but there is an almighty long list of official installers in the UK...there are also 3 official installers in Essex which obviously isn't that far away :D

Ahhhh .... so you haven't had one fitted ...

They were banging on about oooo errrrr Canbus ... not sure ..... on the phone to me ...

Nope, not fitted yet mate; I'm going to commence enquiries, but on the TL website it clearly states they have a QS unit for R1200GS 2002 onwards (TLS-QS2-BMW-GPPUSH).
