Keith, i fitted a QS on my twin cam (above) as well, if your having a remap, is it a reflash or do you have a power commander ! If yes to the pcv than all you need is shifter (i think its the pull type you need on the TC) and you take the 2 wires direct to pcv

If a reflash and no pcv than translogic is what you want

Giles, from our pm if you want to opt for the easy option plug n play no tapping into wires buy a pcv for your bike and purchase the shifter for the power commander (shift body only) for the pcv its works as above just 2 wires direct to the pcv and the pcv plugs into your stock loom connectors, tis idiot proof this option :)

All this talk about canbus and not sure avoid em twats they'll blow ya fooking bike up, they really don't have a clue.

I have had a remap so PC is not an option.

I'm on the case with Translogic ..... :D

I've got a 2007 adv single cam without power commander; spoke to Giles via PM and we're hatching a plan :D

New headers & can next week with a re-map booked in July...

Sorry if I missed it, but does anyone know what the going rate is for the QS (installed)?

Thanks in advance.

I was quoted £359.00 which includes chassis specific enabling code, my dealer couldn't quote a time and hence a price for fitting but suggested half hour should cover it.

Has anyone else had probs shifting from first to second after the installation of the gear shift assist? Since I had it fitted I've had two instances where shifting from first to second using the clutch, the bike has briefly cut all power - like traction control, except no warning lights on dash. I end up pitched over the handlebars briefly, then the power returns and normal service is resumed. I'd be interested if anyone else has had a similar experience, and if there is a resolution.

That shouldn't be happening

As I understand it, using the clutch should 'tell' the GSAP that it doesn't need to do its thing.

I would say either the wrong enabling code has been programmed in, or, the micro switch that the clutch operates lever isn't functioning correctly.

Got one on order, they say 20 mins fitting & with discount/good will £360 all in.. (but have been known to be vague when ordering stuff..)

That's not normal. I've had no problems with first to second. The only time I've had an issue, is going from 5th to 6th, but that was me not being firm enough with the gear lever. Riding up the Firka Pass today with the shifter was fantastic.:beerjug::JB

Dolomites tomorrow.:thumb

Thanks for the replies re price guys; I think that I might go for the QS based on it being sub £400.

I have one on order and no sign of it yet, mind you I'll let Southport sort themselves out first. Last week they fitted their first one and it took them 3.5 hours :1/10 They were quoting a guy on the phone today around £450 as they take so long to fit :blast

had mine fitted today at allan jefferies today £406 took about 45mins first thought really good not so sure about the downshifts yet need to take it for a proper run

Fitted today after chatting with Ding-Dong! It's very good ..... :thumb2

Glad ya sorted, looks like someone has put adapter in yours, to take into account the left hand thread ! I did it with a twin cam/earlier gs link ball (top) as there right hand thread and no need for adapter, allows for more adjustment with the stick also.
