Hi folks,

I have searched the site to answer this one but no joy. I have just taken the swinging arm off my 2002 1150 to examine the drive shaft and have noticed a small leak from the output shaft oil seal on the back of the gearbox.
Does anyone out there know if it possible to replace this seal without having to remove and strip down the gearbox as it would obviously save a lot of time and swearing!!

Thanks.

I think I screwed 2 small screws into it VERY carefully and pulled it out with mole grips.

Hi Jondan,

From what I've been told, the only seal that can't be changed without a strip down is the one at the back end of the input shaft, so I'd say you are OK. The method Runt mentions is the one suggested to me.

Guess which seal has gone on mine?:spitfire :thedummy

Really, be VERY carefull as you dont want to go screwing them in too far or to close to the edges
