R80ST: Just taken the monolever off to check the universal joint as I suspected it was on the way out as when I move my bike around in neutral I could feel a graunchy resistance, especially if changing from forward to reverse. The universal joint seems fine, but if I try to turn the output shaft on the gearbox its rough. I guess thats a rebuild required but thought I'd get a second opion here. Bizzarely though the gearbox seams really slick and way better than my R100 Basic replica. Infact I'd been thinking of putting this into the Basic and getting the basic gearbox rebuit. I guess I need two gearboxes done.

Looks knackered. Definitely shouldn't play music when turned.
A slick gearshift doesn’t mean the gearbox shaft bearings are okay.
