I have a question for you guys. I delivered my 2013gs lc to the garage (bm
w) My clutch was acting strange, the bit on the clutch changed, back and forth.
I was thinking the slave cyllinder was broken. In turned out to be the ( hi speed) axle, in the gearbox that was bent,
This axle is going out of the gearbox to the final drive.
they haft to put a new gearbox on the bike now
Has anybody heard of this problem before. ?

Ps the bike is under warranty, so they are not trying to f... Me over.

2013 , new engine 7000 miles , 2015 bike , new engine 4000 miles , maybe I ride them too hard ... Great bike tho

not heard of that one. I had a GSA and the selector drum was too tight, so wouldn't read neutral on the dash. That gearbox had to be replaced. Appears there aren't replacement gearbox parts, its just swapped out for a new unit each time. How would an axle in a gearbox become bent??

Tanks for the input, AS chrotchrocket Said They Can not fix the inside of the gearbox, only change the gearbox completely.

All this replacing major components under warranty must be costing BMW a fortune. Make you wonder how much they make per bike sold...

Hi Again.
I got the bike back yesterday. The axle was not bent, the bearings was broken, but the axle, had play both ways. Sideways and up and down. This axle holds the clutch basket, and because it had play sideways, it changed the bit point of the clutch.
My dealer was very helpful, and thanks to them. They also adjusted brakes, light guards, side stand, and washed the bike.
I felt a bit bad, delivering the loaner bike back, al dirty.
Have a nice weekend.
Brg from Denmark
