gel insert

has anyone had gel insert put in there seat rode for about 250miles today and i a nutshell my arse was killing me for the last 50 or so miles the missis was fine
might have to nip down to tony archers to see if he can sort me out anyone on here had one put in

I put a gel in a stock seat after the same issue as yourself, however even with a gel my ass was hurting like I'd rode a plank. I binned the seat and brought some bar risers, problem solved..

i bought a gel seat off a fellow tosser a few years back,best money i ever spent on the bike.unfortunately sold it last year[long story] and cant find another one.get one you wont regret it.j

I find my GSA stock seat perfectly comfortable for extended trips. Last weekend, 660km only put my feet down twice for fuel and once for lunch. Arrived home with an ache-free bottom and could easily have done another 100-200km.

Take a look at Airhawks - much cheaper and portable.

I bought it for my old CB and my distance went from 30 miles to all day riding.

I use it on the GS and so far have managed 360 miles in a day

There is a knack to Airhawks - don't over fill them - they need to look practically flat ....a few youtube vids out there showing how to use them.

Definitely worth the money

done the altered seat, gel insert thing and at best pain threshold went from 50 to 150 miles, with an airhawk 450 miles per day is a blissfully painless experience
