Geordies ernly mind!

First ones are on the hill in about '76 and the last one is sometime in '82 or later.

What's a Geordie......? :augie

Mind you - GSX1100s were released in '79 so maybe they are all from c. 1981.

I lived in Lancaster Street just up from there from 1980 to 1984 and Westgate road was a must do every Saturday!! Guys pullin' wheelies in H1's H2's and RD's all day long:thumb2 Looks ceryainly from that time ,and Harry woods is exactly as I remember it. Last time I was there in 2004 it looked very different and Fulla Yuppies:augie:D

I noticed the MT-5 and the X-1 on the shelf there, that brought back memories of me begging my parents for either one.

They bought me a Puch Maxi, secondhand, for £25 hoping it would embarass me enough to put me off. It failed :thumb

thats wot the old Redheugh Bridge looked like
mate at work was talking about it ages ago i couldn't find a pic

Really enjoyed them pics, It's interesting to see the new Reheigh being built on the right, the last peice was put in when I was at Rye hill college doing pipefitting/Plumbing So I'm guessing 81 as well.

HARRY WOODS

Just looked in the old stuff i have kept a receipt number 1928 from harry wood 195/203 westgate road newcastle upon tyne ne4 6dn. Dated 20/06/1981 (I was only 24 years old) received £724.84 from mr m barclay for repairs to suzuki gs750 WFT968T. This was paid for by the insurance company of the IDIOT in a yellow vauxhall viva who pulled out in front of me on a dual carrageway and he said those famous words I DID NOT SEE YOU. I was hoping it was going to be written off so i could get a new GSX1100 as they had just been launched. It worked out well i got the bike repaired and over £4000.00 compensation. so i bought a new honda cb900
