Germany after the war

I have read several quite good books about Germany in the very last days of the war and the next two decades thereafter, exploring the miracle of rebirth.

These two videos are reasonably interesting:

There should be a third to follow, apparently.

The very young children in the videos will now be in their late 80’s to 90’s.

Friends of mine were children in Berlin during the war.
They emigrated to South Africa as soon as they were able, where we met and worked together.
Some harsh stories of living through the war and immediate postwar periods.
