I swapped my 2015 1200GSA for a Euro 4 2018 GSA. I’ve put 3000 mikes on it and I’m convinced it’s lacking in umph?! It doesn’t seem to have the urgency of the 2015? It feels very tame and I can’t put my finger on it. 2018 is smoother and fuels better however it’s almost a bit bland. What did they do to it?

Does Dynamic Pro make it go faster? Give it more BHP?... I don't think so. It may change how the throttle responds and allow you to change ABS settings etc... but I don't think it adds any Umff back in?

It just feels calmer if that makes sense. I’d be interested to see some kind of test between euro 3 and 4. It may just be all in my mind.

Euro 4 Has flat spot in the mid range 5-6 k rpm. You are stuck with it. I went from a '14 to a '17 same thing.

I had the same feeling going from my my2016 to my2018 1200 GS. The older bike seemed to both handle and go better and was more engaging to ride.

Will it? I asked the question a while ago when the AXFIED was all over the forum but never got an answer.

Yes does really gud when number 8, make my bike feel so good now, no vibe and no stall, and I feel no flat area.

I think it can be improved with Cam timing. I've just had a new engine in my 67 plate. The old engine hardly had any flat spot, where as the new one does. So has to be mechanical as everything else is the same... Cam timing if you ask me ;)

If it does not work, sell it here for £300 notes, all you lose is £93.

It will improve your bike by how much is always subjective, but no one that i am aware has sold due to being dissapointed.

In 2017 I swapped my 2012 GS 1200 ADV-TB for a new 2017 EU-4 GS 1200 ADV-TB...The 2017 EU-4 GS 1200 was soo much slower than the 2016 EU-3 GS 1200 especially in the mid-range that I was almost crying...I solved the problem in 2019 getting a new GS 1250 ADV which was grey instead of TB but soo much stronger than the gutless 1200...:thumby:
Hopefully the azzholes in Brussels don't spoil the new 2021 R1250GS with their EU-5 B.S making the bikes even quieter and leaner...
And hopefully after Brexit the EU will hopefully go away completely and EU-6 can be avoided and we can get back to EU-3...:thumb

F#ck all difference in road performance between my 2014 r1200gsa and my 2018 model r1200gsa.

Neil on the bottom or top there is no difference in performance between a EU-3 2013-2016 or EU-4 2017-2018 GS...But in the middle the difference is HUGE where the EU-4 is painfully slow...But so is the 1200 EU-3 compared to the 1250 GS...:D

Would be nice to see some comparison graphs side by side euro3 vs euro4. I feel the dip in midrange.

2015 GSA to a 2017 GSA seemed to loose grunt although the GAP worked a bit better.
2017 GSA to 2019 1250 GSA gave me that grunt back and some more including much smoother GAP.

There is a bit of a flat spot in mid-range (overtaking etc) on the 2018 bike, easily fixed by trading in for the 1250, definitely no mid-range flat spots on that bike.

or.... You could try that rolling road guy near Leicester who's name I dare not mention.:augie:augie

I have those. I given trying add pictures to my posts, I am too stupid to work it out.
2014 bike the graph lines are ruler straight.
2017 bike the graph lines look like corrugated iron.
