Get your dealer to give you the paint code.
Go to your local body repair business (or Halfords even) and they'll mix said paint in quantity of your choice.
Prepare to spray.
Easy really.![]()
Get your dealer to give you the paint code.
Cheers. Will they put it in an aerosol can?![]()

I want to colour up my white helmet to match the bike. Is it posible to buy a can of desert yellow paint or something that is pretty well matched?
I thought you meant proper desert yellow. I didn't realise it was a BM colourThe code under the seat is the sceme colour not the paint code. On the 1200 the scheme colour is 953 but the paint code is 952.

And lets remember kids, If your not a professional paint sprayer and don't understand the properties of your helmet or the paint you are about to use - You may damage the shell of your crash helmet.
I'm no safety nazi but just wanted to point that out.

Have a look here:- http://www.bmbikes.co.uk/paintcodes/yellows.htm
I was told by the dealer that my helmet it fibreglass not polycarbonate and is OK to spray for a colour change. Was I sold a dummy?
Yes, fibreglass is fine to re-paint. Just make sure you strip out as much of the interior as possible and mask the rest up well before you attack it.

Ermmm , other way round I according to the link. Scheme Code = 952, Paint Code = 953.
BTW, I prefer Anchor Supplies Desert colour myself ...
