Getting Excited Now!

Thanks - yes, it's Thunder Grey, as available on the GS. I saw it for the first time this afternoon and it looks great in the flesh.

Be sure to shove some pictures on here once you've picked it up.:thumb

Right, well get out into the garage and take some more.:rob:D

It'll have to wait, I've got an important appointment with a beer in the pub (where I am now)...

(All I need now is a cheap pair of GS cast wheels... :D)

Your bike looks top dollar in that colour but whilst you've been in the pub having a beer, you have just missed another pair, that I've brought. :)

Just back..Intial 270 miler AJ's up to Hartside cafe near Penrith and home to Sth Yorks.I'm sure BigD will post some pics, brilliant bike completely different from my previous Adv's.
Quckshift..?? not so sure it takes some getting used to,I thought you could leave the throttle open and just change up.? but mine didn't like that most of the time.Down shifts couldn't get any to work this morning.
Until BigD said he blipped his throttle and they snicked in ok, after that changing down was good, still not sure about going up the box though will speak to AJ's when in for first service. It may just be my riding style.

Re the quick shifter - I had one on my S1000 and it took about 4k plus revs and hold throttle open and changes perfectly with a gorgeous pop too

Not applicable for downshifts.

Rumour has it Big Derek was last seen leaving jefferies with dyed green hair to match the new toy!

Had a ride myself and must say, it is a fantastic machine in every respect - torque, agility, comfort, ride position, seat...very much like my (wet) dream:rolleyes:...really really want one,
