Well we've put 450 on the bike now,tried rain mode today it reminded me of the old bike in its pick up etc...Very smooth throttle.
Not tried Dynamic yet waiting for the first service to be done in a weeks time.This bike just gets better...................

+1. Why not use dynamic until after the first service?
It doesn't turn the bike into an uncontrollable animal, just livens things up a bit.Mine never goes out of dynamic, unless it's frosty/ raining.
This mode selection must sound old hat to those of you that have enjoyed it with your LC's for a year, but it is a revelation to us newbies. I can't find a need for dynamic yet and I'll save it till I get bored, which may be some time. Very happy with road.

Well after all the excitement of a new bike usually lasts a month for me i am 19 days in and still bonding with my new girl "Olive" spent 6.5hrs yesterday at Mecca Allan Jefferies and will be back tomorrow.... 175 mile round robin for me. Olive had her first service and she came back sounding a bit deep throated . as I bit the bullet and had a new Akra slipped onto her.She is looking well.
The wife knows too and we have a agreement what i spend she can too so it was a costly day it was for me....
Olive is also in a more comfy upright position with her new Wunderlich bar risers.........she ha installed yesterday...
It does make the new GSA WC feel like my 2013 GSA ..............riding position.
Now tomorrow as the Quick shifter was not working AJ's tried all they could with the software codes that BMW had sent them but to no avail still would not work!. They were onto Berlin the fatherland last night and today they have received new codes from Fritz at the Fatherland.... Tomorrow i should be finally sorted re gear shifter i rode back with my pal Tosser Saw who had his shifter sorted yesterday and his 1st service and he said its feckin amazing the quick shifter so can't wait!
My thoughts after 85miles with risers and Akra are:
Akra .......Way too much money for what they are. But sounds a lot better , gets the biscuit tin look exhaust off the bike! and i may be wrong but riding along at built up area slow speeds e.g.30mph 40mph it does seem to have smoothed out the ride more ? should it?
Wunderlich Risers Look good fair enough on price at £89, They do make the riders position far better i think i am six feet 2inch and it does feel nicer . Downside IMHO.........It tends to make you feel more vibrations through the bars ? Why? Fook Knows ?
So thats my Update re the new shed! No gearbox issues , screen is what it is but getting use to it, seat is a wee bit less numb bum but not a lot,handling is brill, engine noise when
bimbling along sounds like a bag of spanners! But you get used to it. Power is great some say no torque ? don't get that? theres loads IMHO. Modes are fun and great to have those who have had ESA and say never used it (not me i like ESA and use it) now don't have to worry cos if u have ESA on new shed it adjusts suspension as well as re maps your ECU when you select the mode. Reminds me of the new Nordic track treadmill i have just bought....Great to hang your pants on at night LOL/

Re the Gear assist pro, how confident is your dealer that it will work, as one of my pals in London has been told by Park Lane that BMW is quoting 2 weeks minimum, as there is a software glitch that interferes with the cruise control & aux lights? Does your mates assist pro work with no issues?

It's a dealer-fit extra, or in my case, a dealer-to-be-fitted-when-its-in-stock extra. Another couple of weeks apparently.

just got back from my earlier ride up to Mecca Allan Jefferies.... Great people to do business with ! My Shifter now enabled correctly and i can say its feckin wonderful puts a big big smile on ya face! Good job the Fatherland sent correct codes. Checked with spots and cruise too all good. It makes it a very sporty ride. It does take a few moments to get it into your head when pulling 6000rpm you don't shut off to change up you just push up on the gear change and vroom! its in. Sounds well good and also better than i expected coming down the box. So Anyone considering one best £400 you will spend on ya Steed!
Off to give Olive a good scrub down now ready for her trip to the seaside tomorrow
