Took the GSA in for its first service today and i got ( a free ) loan bike from Vines, a 800GS, yuk ( sorry any 800gs owners )

I rode the 30 odd miles to work and really didnt enjoy it, 21 inch front didnt want to corner and i had to yank the thing over, wobbled like hell over white lines and on the motorway whilst leaning forward to get out of the wind, it gave a tingling to parts that got me, well quite excited :) when i got there some 40 mins later my legs were numb.

At lunchtime i had to ride my old Fazer FZ1 for the first time in a year and nearly crashed that on the first roundabout. Then rode the 800gs back to vines, in all 100miles covered and ive never been so happy to get the big fella back :D nearly bloody dropped that too after yanking the bars at the first bend and nearly put it on its side. Me and the beast are back together in unity now and im a happy bunny, you never know how much you miss it til its gone..

Sleep tite all.

I had exactly the same experience on a loaner 800GS. I was quite looking forward to riding it. But it was a huge let-down.

I also tried one at the off road skills course, but the 1200GS was still the better off-road bike (fell off it less often:augie).
