I recently changed my R1100rt for a 2010 1200rt with only 6K on the clock :D It needed a top box and I bought the enormous Givi E55 along with the E111 backrest.
Now it looks great, but, the backrest is really uncomfortable:blast SWMBO says it is far too hard, too thick and pushed her forward far too much.
So, the question is, has anyone managed to fit any other backrest onto an E55?

Notwithstanding the bit about pushing her too far forward, is the lady wearing a back protector? I'd have thought a good quality back protector would make it difficult to comment on how comfortable the backrest is.

I've got a Kappa 52 litre top box with a backrest on my 2012 RT and found that I had to do a bit of juggling with the adapter plate before I found the top box position my wife was comfortable with. As the Kappa and Givi use the same plate then Diver Rider should be able to do the same. Loads of room in the box though and considerably cheaper than the BMW one.
