Anyone got experience of fitting an E52 Maxia topbox? SPC tell me I may need to lose the grabrail as a result. Is this the case?

If you use the Givi adapter plate it won't affect it but the overhang may put undue strain on your rack. Someone posted yesterday that they use a Givi wingrack that hangs off the pannier rail mounts. I'm sure that if you fit that then The E52 would be okay but you may need to loose the hand rail (but hey why not as you'll have a topbox for your pillion to lean bak on.

I've just told a Fib. You do have to remove the grabrail with Givi adapter plate as it mounts on the same holes....what a thicko I am as I only fitted mine 2 weeks ago..mevsosorry.

If you fit the topbox using the Monorack fitting kit then you keep the OE rack/grabrail as the rack bolts to the side rails.

Obviously only suitable for those without hard panniers.

The rack will only hold small items as there is limited space under the topbox plate - by Belstaff waterproofs bumbag fits nicely.
