Hi, has anyone fitted a givi 5124dt to a model earlier than the 2016-17 they are advertised for?
I have checked the part numbers and the same original screen is used from 2013 to 2017 according to the microfiche.
I'm tempted to try one on my r1200gs lc adventure as they look much better than most other offerings.

You'll need a 5108D and the fitting/strengthening kit , you can get the same screen from Kappa for less (Givi/Kappa are the same company, only the sticker will be different) if you are near Triple D in Kendal they can get one in for you, ask Duncan . Looking at the Kappa website the 5124 is definitely for the newer model even though it takes the same 5108kit to fit it , bit strange but Givi/Kappa make very good screens and if they say it wont fit then it wont. :thumb

Kappa website " 5108D - compatible from 2013 to 2015 / to be combined with the specific D5108KIT fitting kit / 5 cm higher than the original R1200G and size equal to that of the bike R1200GS Adventure"

Looks very similar to screen in your picture but lightly smoked .

Don't know about that one but i can recommend the 5108 screen. I have it fitted to a 2016 bike and its much better than a standard screen.

Just a quick message to let everyone know that the 5124DT screen advertised for the later 2016-2017 models only will infact fit straight on to a 2014 r1200gs lc adventure without any issues.
Works much better and is roughly 4" taller than the stock gsa screen and is the same width.

Just a quick update. I went for a ride this morning and can state that the new screen works great.

I have currently got it set in its lowest position which is still higher than the stock gsa screen was when at fully up and had no buffeting of wind blast and it was very quiet even at ahem motorway speeds.

I used a helmet with a beak and have the seat set in the high position and I'm 5' 10" tall.

A point to note is that I would recommend buying it with the screen brace that givi make or a pair Cymarc braces (which I use).

Yep excellent screen I ride with it a few inches below my eyeline with the helmet visor open and wind just goes right over my head.No need to adjust it once set but the brace certainly is a requirement.

Im certainly not going out in that white stuff today though BRRRR!!
