Last week I decided to replace my standard 1150GS screen with the GIVI screen. So I popped into my friendly Hein Gericke shop in Cardiff (hello Mr Muck-Spreader!!) and ordered one. The damage £80 including VAT. It took les than 15 minutes to fit and then it was time for testing.
Initial impressions, after 90ish miles of motorway/town and screen setting at mid point are as follow:
At any speed it is definitely an improvement over the stock screen. Reduced buffeting, reduced noise, less wind on the shoulders. I expect rising the screen on click will further improve. The top of the screen is around about your eye lever, well it is at my eye level and I am 1.80 (is that 5,7" ??).
So my opinion is for the money and for what offers it is a good replacement, to go for something more expensive it really had to be a much much better product.
Note: When you take the original screen off you will need to dismantle the two black plastic guides either side and you need (a number 5 or 7, I think) star Allen key. The GS toolkit doesn't provide that so make sure that you have one.
I hope this is helpful.
