just inherited my mates old givi top box minus the fixing plate . at the mo I've got a bmw top box fitted if I buy a givi fixing plate is it a straight swap for the bmw plate .
bit more room for the dragon rally cheers all

Dont know which bike you have but a Givi plate just clamps straight onto the back of my r1150gs. I took the grab rail off so it sits a little bit further forward, but still fits regardless.

It depends on load you want to carry. The rear alloy carrier is likely to break with a heavy load.

Givi sell an adaptor plate, which includes the black plastic tray for a mono key system

Bit pricey, but the support plates pick up on the rear pannier mounts so will take extra load.

You will need to find out what box you have monokey or monolock the fitting plates are different.

I didn't know you could buy a bracket; I made one that fits under the rack and attaches to the pannier rack mounting point. I added a piece of 8mm polycarbonate (unbreakable) between the givi plate and the original rack. It's all pretty strong now as I guessed the wife leans back on the box when I accelerate.

I told Givi I'd bought one second hand and the brackets were missing, they sent them free!
