I'm still spending money :(

Which box do you seasoned owners recommend of the two above?

Is it worth getting the luggage rack and lights too?

If the lights aren't worth it, is there a mod I can do to add generic lights?

Blah blah.... thanks for your help though

Regards

Colin

You may get some useful stuff from this thread which ran not too long ago (I knew I'd posted something but it took a bit of searching).

The general view, on my reading as an interested party, was the E52 is the better of the two. I'd reinforce my "don't get the lights" comment in there. I'd do a search for "widetails" on this sight for something which looks much better.

If you're going to leave it on all the time, the V46 looks better on the bike.
You could get an illegal or two trying to climb in to an E52 if you go to Europe.

Iv'e got a E50 'cos you can get a briefcase in it or two large helmets and yes get the lights as well the high level brake is a big plus. The E52 is the one.

I've got the 46 litre box on my GS because I'm a cheapskate.

Have to agree on the brake lights. I have an E460 with the added brake lights. If I didn't have the lights, anyone driving close behind wouldn't see my brake light. Which would not be a good thing.

The wiring for them is not particularly good, but you can solve most of the problems by using some gaffa tape to cover the loose wires in the back.

Here's what I did to mine:

Cheers everyone. The E52 it is.

Gotta stop spending money..........

E52! Holds 2 helmets

I agree, two full face helmets, two pairs of gloves and two pairs of lightweight overtrousers - great for days out.

I've got the Givi E52

Excellent for storage and stability at speed. Not quite so convinced about the 'easy, one handed opening' though...I've got to push like feck to get the button in....You certainly don't need anything bigger....;)
