Givi waterproof GPS cover

Yes

Hi Servdave, I have used one of these on the 800 so would no doubt go on the 650 no problem. They just have loads of velcro to wrap around the bars or whatever. Not terribly waterproof but got me around 12 european countries just fine last summer. In fact you can have mine for £15 if you want it. Let me know if you want a picture.

Has anyone got one of these? Check out the link below:

Was thinking of getting one so i could borrow my dads sat nav. Does anyone know if they are any good? Whether they fit 650GS twin?

Cheers guys!

Hiya,

Cheers for the help guys! Are car satnav relatively waterproof as standard? I unfortunately can't afford a bike Garmin, thus why I'm borrowing my dads car one!

Safe riding!

No. They don't love vibrations either.

Stated this, in the Givi bag I'm using the Tom Tom One I normally use in the car. In the last 8 months it has been on the bike for almost 10k miles with no damages.

I've been driving from Nancy to Milan through Switzerland last summer under heavy rain (in that case I used the waterproof cover) and had no issues so far.

The day it dies... I'll get a Zumo. :augie :D

Is the clear pocket the right size to hold an iPhone?

If it is I might be interested in one of these. Are either of the ones that were offered up still for sale?

It's too big for an iPhone.

My Tom Tom One is sort of small already.

Too big is better than too small I suppose.

No. You won't be able to properly strap down the iphone in there.
I already have some issues with the tom tom one (as I wrote in the other post).
If I don't strap it down properly (I have to "lock" the elastic strings into the velcro...) it just moves around in the bag and you really don't want that :)

Forgetting IPhone and that malarky for a second..............:D

Question - So are these fit for purpose then? As for £40 quid I could use the wifes Garmin rather than tape a map to my tank

I ain't wanting to fork £100's out for a dedicated bike sat nav I'll only use maybe a couple of times a year if that.

@SilentBob: I'll measure it and post the internal size... in cm... I still didn't get used to the imperial system... :augie :D
