Tayside Contracts are currently surface dressing the whole Glen Lyon road from the Loch Tay side over Ben Lawers to Bridge of Balgie. They have already done the route along the glen to Fortingall.
If you like riding gravel roads then this is not to be missed. Tonnes of loose chips and piles of gravel through the bends. Properly spoiled one of my favourite rides.

Yes was our intention to visit yesterday, gave up after waiting for around 10mins to get past the workers, boots coated in tar also , avoid.

But in a couple of weeks it’ll be grip city! :thumb2

Ideal for emergency braking practice!

It'll never be grip city!!! It's a very single-lane narrow winding mountain road - so all the chips that end up along the centre will be there "forever" waiting for some biker or cyclist to get tangled up in it.
The road is totally untreated/cleared during winter - and is signposted as such - maybe it's an attempt to leave more grip for the locals in winter!!!

Cheers......................Grizzly
