Decided to head over to The Bridge of Balgie today ,tearoom was glorious in the sunshine and the carrot cake and coffee no bad either ,rode up the Glen and couldnt get the smile off ma big baw face it was magic ,the wee St was great for the single track ,thought I was gettin blocked as I came down to the lochay as the road was fenced off at two points but the gates are not locked so managed to gret back round to Killin although the surface on the road is bdly fecked good day all the same .Cheers big Jets

I was there last month - photo strangely similar to yours :)

The gated road was on my map, but not on the GPS. Just went for it anyway:D

Yup, lots of deer. At one point a stag was running down the road at the side of us.

Also highland cattle - a huge hairy specimen with massive horns stood in the road bellowing at us. I rode round it (carefully :eek:) but one of wussie mates bottled it and asked if it would mind awfully moving out of the way:D
 
The bit between Vannoch Cottage and Glenlochay is a private road owned by Scottish Hydro and it is not even marked on some road maps. Access is allowed but they seem to be putting up gates on a few of their roads now and restricting access to some of the dams.
