Did anybody get this DVD then?

What was it like and is it worth the money?

Instructional DVDs!

It's on Touratech sure enough or you can see it on the Globeriders website!www.globeriders.com:thumb2

I've got the 1150 one lying around and was going to get the 1200 one(I think there's a supplement for the HP2 included!)

I was also going to get the F650GS one although it was made in 2001 and filmed in Iceland at a campsite we stayed at!

Just watched it

It seems quite well produced. It's 240 mins long:eek: so in terms of length/price it's great value!

Covers accessories for the 1200GS, basic maintenance on the road, tyre puncture repair, tyre changing, luggage fitting and packing, tools etc.

All in all quite informative if you have very little experience of GS maintainance.

Leaving aside all those who have a pressing need to start changing their tyres whilst deep in the jungles of Borneo, or on the corner of their local High Street, most of the information would seem to be available for free, here: Free

Failing that. JimVonBaden's basic 36,000 mile service dvd is reasonably well made and OK for most 'normal' eventualities. With it you get the authentic off-camera sound of American freight trains hooting and clanking in the distance. Makes it feel as if you are in the wilds, not in Jim's garage, if nothing else.

Anyone finished with a copy?

I fancy getting a copy of this, but am reluctant to give rip off prices for a new copy.

Anyone on here thinking of selling theirs (1200GS) before I post in the wanted section?

I got one a couple of years ago direct from Helge as Touratech were out of stock. IMHO it's money well spent - informative, lots of practical advice and techniques and very entertaining. :thumb2

I bought this DVD a few months ago (got it on EBay).

I think its excellent - you don't just get a break down of one tool or method to do things, the presenter goes out of his way to show you a variety of tools and what the good and bad points are of each. Very thorough and he really knows his stuff.

Highly recommended! :clap
