BVM

I have never purchased a bike from BVM, I have on many occasions called in when passing to view their stock and have a chat :D
Very helpful, pleasant and not pushy, always got time to talk without the Buy the new model sir attitude willing to let me take a test ride and allow me to leave without signing on the dotted line with a gun to my head, just the sort of place I WOULD buy a bike from, as my recent visit to another bm dealership, when I told them I rode an 1150 gs received the reply of oh it must be an old bike then:augie
Good luck to BVM I'm sure with their customer base and future customers they will thrive:clap

I bought my first BMW, a K100RS from the baron at BVM
Give BVM support because the car guys are threatening the entire bike industry

I bought my bike from them got a good trade in on my first gs they do all the servicing on my bike thay always fight my corner with warranty work and believe it or not you do get a bit of that with a 1200gsa I shall stick with them and their workshop rates are more favourable.

Very much my experience of BVM. Top chaps.

Hope to God they are better with bikes than cars. I bought a car from them once but never again!

A month after buying the car the battery failed. They claimed it would take 2 days to analyse the battery to see if it needed replacing. When I asked for a loan car, they handed me the phone and a number for a car rental agency, saying call them and claim the costs back from BMW warranty! Needless to say, I did not leave the garage until they fitted anew battery.

Had to take the car back in many times in the next two years - eventually got rid of it as it was spending more time in their garage than mine. Classic case was when the convertible roof failed. They had it for a week to replace the motors/strings/whatever. When I collected it i said I wanted to test the roof before driving off. "No need for that sir, our technicians have fully tested it". Yeah - I bet. So, opened the roof - scraping noise. The roof was actually scraping the side of the car as it went up and down. Took me 15 minutes to persaude said young gentleman that it should not do that. Again, I left for home while the car stayed there.

Almost forgot. I went to pay for the deposit on the car on my bike - leathers and all. Nobody would talk to me in the showroom. Just looked at me as I had been dragged in by the cat.

So, good luck to anyone who uses them - but if it says CotswoldBMW - count me out.

BVM

Just had a letter from Mark (the owner) of Bvm as many more of you probably have as an update to where they stand, evidently BMW demanded bvm move to Cheltenham or Gloucester looked at several sites but a £1.5 million !!!! investment in the middle of this recession would be financial suicide.
They are cutting the labour charge down from £59.00 to £52.50 per hr + vat and will still look after customers as always, also the trials section continues to flourish, say no more where I stay..MERRY XMAS ALL..:beerjug:..:thumb.

I gotta say that I've had distinctly average service from BVM. When my Dakar went in to have the ABS fixed as it wouldn't switch off - they told me the button wasn't a real button and that you couldn't turn it off! I'd only been riding a few months and was none the wiser :(

They're certainly very pleasant to deal with but I'm not so sure they are as great as people seem to say :nenau

I've always found them pleasant enough. Had some work done on my GSA and was quick and reasonable.

Alas, they have lost the franchise, and as I want a new 1200GSA early next year, I want the piece of mind of guaranteed back up and warranty.

They wont have the computer system to carry out a lot of diagnostic and set up work as these belong to BMW and I believe they have taken them back.

From the letter I have receved from Mark, thay will still be able to get new bikes parts and accessories as before and for computer upgrades and tech I cant see a problem. His techicians are all BMW trained any how and have been deling with the computer falts for a long time. As he has the freehold were he is you will find ther rates a lot more favourable than someone being screwd by them bankers.
