I've got an intermittent fault on my 2000 GS." Once the bike is warm & is in neutral the ignition light somtimes glowes & the neutral light fades slightly, if I blip the throttle it makes no difference. I can stop the bike to get fuel & when I start it again the lights are ok !!. I have checked the charging of the bike & it is fine I have spoken to B*W & they have no answers, an independant fitter said that I should try blowing out the alternater with an air line I tried this but still no luck. Any body got any ideas ?????

earth fault somewhere can cause similar problems in cars & bikes i've seen. or could be a semi duff diode in the rectifier back feeding the charge lamp.

check the loom that goes up to the instruments -

water gets in, and corrodes the terminals under the outer cable .
