A while back I swapped the o/e leads on my 1100 for some from Tills. The Tills caps are a tad smaller and softer material than the BMW ones and are an absolute twat to pull out - the standard puller doesn't grip them too well at all. Anyway, I foolishly used pliers to shift one and damaged it, so am needing another set.

I notice Magnecor do leads for my bike - I assume they work fine, but are the caps near in size to the o/e ones so they can be removed easily?

I did something similar on my 1150gs. When the supplied cap puller wouldn't work, now I've got some long handled 45degree long nose pliers. With a wrap of gaffer tape on the tips. You can grip the plug cap gently and use the bend in the pliers to pop the cap off the plug.
Also I fixed the torn plug cap rubber top by: Cleaning it really well with electrical contact cleaner inside the split rubber as well. Next hold the split open squeeze in some RTV sealant. Then wrap it with tiger or miracle self sealing repair tape.
It's been on for 15 years at least and ridden through mad rain and not missed a beat

@ThreeDawg as @Dosa mentions Long handled pliers with a bend on the end I used to service the oilheads for a living and as part of the "ordeal" of working on ones usually past service schedules Plug caps were always a challenge

The Bent Long nose ones always worked and I never had an Issue

Dosa If it happens again Clean out the split with Isopropyl alcohol / Brake Cleaner and use tyre patch glue from a cheapie tyre repair kit to glue it back together Job done (y)

I have magnicors leads on my 1150 without any issue other than they took a couple weeks to turn up. But I didn’t use tills
