Where did you mount your Go Pro camera ? I tried my one on the windscreen today and it gives a good POV but the vibes ruin the shots. Any suggestions ?

I mount mine as below, but with a piece of inner tube rubber underneath to reduce vibrations. Also see the video below, no vibrations...

Got mine on my lid, but you get a lot of wind noise, i like being able to capture whats around us as well. Thats a decent setup the bear has apart from you loosing a bit to the right still good though.

I like to see a part of the bike in the footage as a point of reference, otherwise it could look like footage from almost any type of bike/vehicle.

May I ask which bracket you are using and where to obtain....?
Love the video - disappointed to see that it stopped just as you got to the interesting part....where you were overtaking all those other bikes....

I see people with these mounted onto their helmets and honestly, i have to laugh. I too have a camera on my helmet, but it's the right shape (Drift Ghost), The GoPro is just not suitable for helmet mounting. On the bike, sure. But helmet... I just wish they would make another model that was suitable for helmet mounting. Apologies, it doesn't answer the question. Couldn't help myself

Just ordered this aluminium mount £4.28 long arm but also available similar to Bears around £3 why buy genuine gopro mounts ??? good old China

How is it not suitable for mounting on a lid, works fine for me if i wasnt offshore with sh*t internet i would upload a video. Works perfect no issues at all..

My alternative way of ascending the Mountain at Cadwell was purely done to test the go pro mount

Obviously they work, but they do look a bit daft due to the square shape.

This in my quick release mount, size 22mm - 29mm. They also do a larger 28mm - 35mm for clamping onto thicker bars. You do need to purchase the go pro tripod mount so that the clamp can screw into it.

Got mine underneath the beak. Clear view forward with no obstruction and very inconspicuous. Remote mounted on left side of tank just behind the bar when straight ahead so very little movement required to turn it on. Hasn't fallen off yet!
Any camera mounted on a lid being honest looks daft, i want mine there so i can move my head around and capture various views when on the go. Of course always paying attention to where im going but hopefully you know what i mean. Got a bike mount as well just next to the GPS which works well.
Aerodynamics is obviously not on your list of priorities....having that clumsy lump sticking out from my lid is not for me. I'm not questioning the quality of the footage. But rather how it performs (I rode 1200 miles in 2.5 days with mine attached - it never occurred to me it was there - I'd be very surprised if the gopro mounted onto a helmet would be the same). I also like the look of things that seem to fit their purpose, the current gopro offering mounted onto a helmet is err...looking very out of place. Of course this is just my point of view, but I can't help smiling when I see people with then mounted onto their helmets
(motorcycle, snowboard whichever). I look forward to the day when a camera is incorporated into a helmet. That's the only real answer. It'll come I'm sure.
