Gold or Black wheels

Depends on the colour scheme. On the Triple Black they should be black. The clue is in the name

Same on the Trophy colour scheme.

On the other hand, those black spoked wheels are the hardest wheels I've ever come across to keep clean. The gold ones for some odd reason are much easier.

That said, on a road-only bike I'd avoid spokes all together...

I agree especially the last point. I changed the gold spoked wheels on my GS Rallye to black cast ones.

The problem is one of colour balance rather than gold per se. For me, the anniversary special didn't float my boat, but at least there were splashes of yellow top-top half. It's not helped by the gsa looking like a top-heavy pregnant cow.

Strange. I had black on a 1200TB. They were always dirty. I have an 850 with gold. They’re a doddle to keep clean. Not as easy as the cast ones on the MTS though

Spokes should only ever be fitted with off road tyres (that’s what mine will have on now I have my alloys for road work).

How true - my Rallye is also RWB with gold wheels - I wonder why it floats my boat

It appears to be. 60/40 split in favour of black wheels.
I must agree with the majority as I have gone for the black rims.
