My Wing is shortly out of warranty .Infact I think it already is .
My local dealer charges £120 per hour and they are shite.
Next service not due till Jan 2026.
I know there are some Goldwing service centres in UK but does anybody know of a good place to go ideally in south of uk, either main dealer or independent that doesn’t charge an arm and a leg ? The Honda equivalent of Steptoe, but with dress sense and talent 😜

There’s a well regarded independent in Gloucestershire. Can’t remember the name though.
Have you had the bolt recall done yet ?

Pretty sure I checked and my bike wasn’t affected

@Arsey can stay with one of our inmates over there. Otherwise doughballs. I’d avoid HGB Golding service centre in Ruislip though.

Sell it before it needs an air filter
Actually it’s not a bad job. It just takes a long time as it has to be done very carefully. Lots of panel clips/pins to break of you’re not careful.
It took me 5 hours even though I had borrowed the proper manuals.

It’s definitely a job you want to do yourself rather than pay for labour,

I think Arsey is handy with a screwdriver ?

I had the same on a 1200RT LC... Shite job and a complete retrograde design step...

One benefit of the engine bolt recall is you get your oil and filter changed gratis and can have the air filter changed for a nominal fee (presumably the cost of the new filter)whilst they are at it (per my local Honda dealer who is doing mine in 4 weeks)

IIRC you don’t get the filter done, just the oil.
Whose doing the job ?
