STOLEN!!!

My poor beautiful baby... sometime during Monday 4th some toerag drilled out the ignition and other bits (left in the vacinity), wheeled her up a ramp (judging by the plank left there) and took her from me.

2005 1150GS Adv SE - Matt White.

If anyone sees her - SHOUT!

Thats not good for an early birthday present :(

Bad luck, there are some real scrotes about, I know, its a real strange feeling to come back to the bike and its not there any more, i've done that three times now and it don't get any better, up side is that there is no waiting list for a 12GSA nowadays :D

we live in a quite Cul-de-Sac on Highagte/Crouch End borders, and so she's not visible from the road. Wedge in between two cars and right infront of our's and a couple of other houses.

Thanks for all your comments. Heartening to know that more than one pair of eyes and ears are out there. :thumb

I really feel for you mate, its a terrible feeling and such a lovely bike too. Why don't we spend some of our dosh on tracker devices just for the pleasure of not letting te scum bags get a way with it so often.

I hope you get it back unharmed.

Will keep my eyes open for you mate, sorry to hear about it.

Keep your eyes on ebay as well. If you see the tank then the rest is sure to follow and if its a local seller might be worth a visit.

If you know what I mean ;)

Jon :(

Really sorry to hear that :(

Let's ALL keep our eyes out - ESPECIALLY on ebay

Did you just rely on the steering lock ?

Any other form of lock or chain ?

You don't need to drill the ignition out, you only need a small screwdriver, takes 10 seconds if you know what your doing.

Thats why you don't just rely on the steering lock.

So sorry to hear this. :(

I commute through London up to Edgware each day and visit quite a few clients around North London so I'll keep my eyes peeled...

knowing what I know now, and quite how easy it is (I wished they'd tell you that when you buy them) I'll be upgrading all my chains, locks and alarms and MUCH more (is hiring securicor going too far?). I think the manufacturers should install those GPS devices in bikes and cars to put a stop to all this. That said - would we want to be tracked at all times? Hmmm... for a separate discussion me thinks.
