Could I have a copy please ?.
I don't have any appropriate software to import the .csv file to MapSource and I'd like to play around a bit with the data.

Here you go....

Just right click and "Save Target As"

GATSO MPS File

Is does take a few seconds to load the data, so if your going to play I would suggest you delete the GATSO's not in your area then save it under a different name.

If you find any errors will you let me know.

When you view these GATSO's the name for each one is GATSO:XXXX, the XXXX is a Record number for each camera which gives all info about it here

GATSO

Thanks for that.

BTW - I just found this useful utility (so I can play with the data as XML :)...

http://gpsbabel.sourceforge.net/

"GPSBabel converts waypoints, tracks, and routes from one format to another, whether that format is a common mapping format like Delorme, Streets and Trips, or even a serial upload or download to a GPS unit such as those from Garmin and Magellan. By flatting the Tower of Babel that the authors of various programs for manipulating GPS data have imposed upon us, it returns to us the ability to freely move our own waypoint data between the programs and hardware we choose to use.

GPSBabel runs on Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, and XP plus POSIX OSes such as Linux, UnixWare, OpenServer, Solaris, FreeBSD, and OSX."

Warning.

Have just been comparing some of the GASTSO:XXXX numbers to the web site I put in my last post, they don't all match up correctly, so treat the information with scepticisim.

Also note, as Fanum mentioned, there are about 100 more cameras on the GATSO web site then on the list I have from www.pocketsgps.co.uk their database was last updated May 04

Holy crow, guys, you don't need a GPSR to cope with all those speed cameras, you need an application for immigration to another country - looks like yours has gone over the edge.

Loaded them - How do I get rid of them

Right, I loaded all the Gatso's into my 2610 and it has run out of memory for waypoints. How can I delete the lot without having to completely reset the unit or delete them one by one on the GPS?

Andrew.

On the Navigator II (which I assume is the same)
Find - Select Waypoints
Menu - Delete All

Clive you are correct. Thanks, I could not find this info in the user manual and had not realised I could get a menu at this level.

Cheers

Andrew

Just reloading all my map sets again!

Some points I've collected over the past 18 months. The lesbian coffee bar is especially good ;) you wont know unless you visit :D lol

:nod :nod :help :firemth

And it's getting worse.......they can now site them up to 5km away from a location where there is a historical 'accident problem'........even if that's on a completely new road (they have been put up on unopened roads   ) amd even if the accident had sweet bugger all to do with speed.

Try selecting Menu at other "second level" screens
e.g. Menu at Recent allows you to (selective) Delete recent finds etc.
e.g. Menu after selecting certain "types" of finds allows you to Select which MapSet is used.

Thanks

Now starting to find my way arround the menus. Tried a petrol station on route home - routed me there fine but deleted the rest of the route home, not that it was far. Had to reset the route home to carry on. Will keep playing with it in the car as my mount for the bike will be at least another week before it arrives. Shame, had hoped it would be here in time for bank holiday.

Andrew.
