Goodrich banjo bolt too long

I fitted a Goodrich rear hose on my r1100gs (ABS) today. The banjo bolt that came with the hose was too long and bottomed out. Curiously, the hose was supplied with four copper washers (remember other end connects to ABS pipe / union - so no washers required). My original bolt was all but knackered, so I used all four copper washers to space the banjo out (it sealed OK). I intend to replace the bolt with the correct sized one as soon as possible though. Anyone else found this with Goodrich hoses ?

Didn't you take any measurements to clarify by how much the banjo bolt was incorrectly sized and what the difference is?

I wouldn't be stacking copper washers on my brakes hoses but then I have a selection ranging from 0.5mm to 2mm. You probably wont kill yourself but I'd be looking at it for a while until you're confident it's holding up.

Don't worry it's only temporary, more so I could change the brake fluid on the bike. I haven't ridden it yet. I'm going to take the old bolt (which was the right size, but is badly corroded and rounded off), to the bike shop in the morning to get a replacement. I just wondered if anyone else had found the same thing with a Goodrich kit ?
