On my Google Chrome homepage, there are 8 boxes below the search box.

These 8 boxes show the last visited web pages.

Is there any way to delete these boxes...as in,stop them appearing ??

Reset browser theme

Follow these steps to reset your browser theme to the default Google Chrome theme:

Click the Chrome menu (3 horizontal bars) on the browser toolbar.

Select Settings.

In the "Appearance" section, click the Reset to default theme button.

Thanks for the reply.

Tried that but the reset theme option is greyed out and unuseable.
I don't have a theme selected, just the basic Google Chrome homepage.

How about 'advanced settings' and scrolling down to 'Restore browser settings to their original defaults.'?

I just tried that too....all it did was remove my auto log in from here...the boxes are still there.

Had enough for now,I'll faff about later.

Thanks for the assistance anyway.
