Just spent the last half an hour looking at Google Street View of Ireland. Absolutely amazing to see such a vast compilation of info. Very addictive too. Kind of worrying at the same time, as if you happened to have your bike parked out on your drive at the time the google car went by it'll be on view, with address and directions for every scumbag in the country to see... not to mention if you were sunbathing bollock naked:D 'Slight' invasion of privacy, I'd say but well worth a look.. Reckon they've done every road in the country. Could be good for checking out good biking roads, I suppose. Or for those rainy days when you can't be arsed getting wet, you can go for a virtual spin!
Google 'google street view'

They must've done every road cos Kev's house in Kerry is on it and it's in the a*se end of nowhere:thumb

It is addictive tho, you could easily while away a few hours:bounce1

Funny you should mention it Niall, but only last night I was looking at the Tunnel Kings bike sitting parked outside his house. :D

They have just been over here......apparently the cars got vandalised when they were left overnight, outside one of our top hotels.

Apart from one incidence of specfic protest against Google it's the first time it has happened apparently, makes me feel so proud of my community

Tried "a*se end of nowhere, Kerry" - Couldn't zoom in. It showed the (w)hole county. :nenau

tried "a*se end of nowhere, Clare" - Same pic as above.

They'd have been roaring through Leitrim, sure why would ye want to stay any longer than necessary :aidan

Saw the wee Street View car with all the gubbins on top on the Saintfield Road from Carryduff yesterday. He was stopped at the gates of Purdysburn Hospital :augie

At the risk of resurrecting a zombie thread, AND/OR reposting (I did search...:hide), I was looking for a route above Carnhill, in Co Leitrim and came across this

don't know the guy in the middle, but I think I recongnise the other duo....:aidan

Good one Paul. :D :o

The guy in the middle is Ash. We were doing the Ultachs Photo Rally point on the way back from somewhere, maybe Achill in 2008.
