you sure you have done the buckles up tight enough whilst breaking them in ? I have the same and they were quite quick to break in, about 200 miles of riding ( town and country so lots of gear changing and braking) over two days, and they are fine.
I did them up tight as mentioned in the instructions, then tightened up by one or two "teeth" every 50 miles or so, it is surpising how much tighter they can go once they start breaking in. Keep going on like this until they are uncomfortable - that is too tight !
Mine are the Tech3 All Terrain, with metal at the toes, so walking in them has more hazards, like trying not to destroy wooden flooring, or score tiled floors ...Hope you get on well with yours, I love mine.
