Like everyone else, pretty-well, I had sports bikes, well, its what blokes do, isn't it 
I decided a couple of years ago to get something slower and more comfortable so I bought a cruiser. Visions of Dennis Hopper and all that.
What a mistake that turned out to be.
Don't get me wrong, I loved that bike, lots of chrome and bling but, if I'm honest with myself, so uncomfortable.
Backache - fixed with a backrest
Bum ache - fixed with a Gel-insert
Elbow ache - no fix
Stand up - not possible with forward footrests
Then I found the cure.
Sold it and bought an 1150 GS.
Just as heavy as a cruiser but probably the most comfortable bike I've ever owned.
Congrats on the new bike BTW.
