Got mine on Wednesday - what do I make first.................

As I mentioned before you never get rid of high frequency vibes, you just move em elsewhere and obviously where they move to depends on things like are the engine mount bolts/bar clamp bolts torqued correctly and so on .

I'm working on moving them to Nutty's bike:aidan

TT

Mark, please don't get your knickers in a twist about this
1. My vibes after 1k were not bad before I tried your bar ends
2. As I said I've now removed the R&G bits as maybe they are acting as an insulator. Will test next week and will let you know.

Ta for that pal :thumb2 and yes I (and the rest of us) look forward to what you find :clap

I agree with this, they just seem to get displaced elsewhere either through using bar ends, handlebar rises or simple black magic.............

Mark sent me a set of bar ends this week, so I've fitted them, and just been out for the day to test them out. I can honestly say, hand on heart, that this bike is now the smoothest bike I've ever ridden.

Woohoo, go Nuts

(and such good value :D)

(chq in the post..................)

Vario top box adaptor plate

I`ve been pushed by one of the lads to make an adaptor plate for a vario top box for the XR. Personally I think top boxes are the spawn of the devil :D and in my humble opinion if you want to ruin the lines of a bike stick a top box on it :rob

However respecting everyone's opinions (as I do) I`ve come up with this..................

(Devils spawn I tell ya....................)

I can`t bring myself to upload an image of the topbox :barf but I`m sure you can imagine eh? :D

Bit like white wine, won`t have it in the house :D

Re bar ends

Mark,

I've missed out on your first round of bar end weights. Could you let me know when you end up doing a second run of them please?

Are you able to do different weights for each side? to try and make the bike steer straight when hands free? :D :thumb

Please Mark, whatever you do, DO NOT put pictures of a vario box on an XR on these hallowed pages!:D

The XR we hired from BMW motorrad @ the weiserspitzer, every part of the bike vibe'd but it didn't stop me buying one even if it was short lived.

Luckily there's a black bike behind, so it's not that visible :rob

Think I'll have a set of those bar ends mark, my s1000r is great apart from pins and needle hands after 20 minutes!! Longer rides just aren't good. Hopefully they will take some buzz out the mirrors too so they become slightly useful! never had this on the RR. Weird.

Hi Mark, could you do anything with the clutch acctuating arm? I am sure if it was 10mm-15mm longer it would make for a lot lighter clutch pull.I am thinking about buying the bike but this is putting me off. what is your thoughts? Cheers Allan.

It's got a quick shifter and you hardly need the clutch, or go buy the Africa twin it's not got a clutch lever DCT think I may be going that way some time next year

I have small hands but never found the pull to be an issue, the only grip I had was the lever span and even the £320 hp levers didn't help.
