Got mine on Wednesday - what do I make first.................

Yeah of course you can fella. Am happy to fit it for you too - its a prototype but I`m sure you will be pleased with it - its the one in the photo (coz they`ve lost Nuts`s one at the powder coaters)

I`ll PM you with my address, we could meet at the main factory but I`d rather do it at my house as I don`t have all the stress on my back :beerjug:

Sterling work that man ! yep Pm me address and i will pop over in the car !!

Rad guard.................

Guys, I`m struggling with the rad guard. IMHO the very basic `mesh` types seem very brill to me. Light and cheap.

I`ve already got an R&G one - I would have bought the evo tech one like Nuts if I hadn`t already got one and it seems fine.

So, I`m going to indulge myself, design something in very thin stainless (so that it curves round) and post a photo. I`ll possibly leave it at that and move onto adapting the anti theft brace I did for the S1000RR clocks.

and then onto the sexy as fekk `sports` panniers...........

So, unless anyone has some awesome design suggestions I`ll put something together and see where we go. There`s already a stainless one on the market (R&G :bow) and it seems durable (coz its stainless) and not likely to rust but there`s nothing that really stirs my custard over the design, being functional `just slots` so if I can`t come up with anything better I`m not going to keep on at it.

fella, sadly both Nuts and Redrick have got the first two `prototypes` for red wine & whatever Nuts may send me (possibly an empty egg carton......:D) so the ones which I`m now making are for `proper` sale and available on www.cymarcbikeparts.co.uk in the new S1000XR section. It comes with blanking fasteners and I`m happy to offer a 10% discount if you wish fella?

And you won`t need four blanking fasteners but if you do need them for whatever dark deep fiendish reason you can have some extra at no extra cost fella :thumb2

Great, please pm me when they are ready and I'll pop over with the wonga. Yes you are right, two blanking thingies is all I need. However you must prepare yourself to see the faster XR as mine is white like Redricks:D

Oh noooooo every one has turned gay :blast

Ok fella, might be a few days as I have to make them and get them powder coated. The powder coaters only go at their speed unless its something for Nuts........... if you don`t hear from me then contact me in a few days.

Fuck Nuts, he will soon want you to do side racks for GSA ally panniers to go with his Topbox:aidan

Hi Mark
A major effort needed I'm sure but I still think a sat nav locking / anti theft device would go down well. Maybe one for the back burner, when you might have time to work on it

Cheers Terry

Ta for your input fella - I've already started so I will do just the one design and move onto other stuff like the anti theft brace

If you want more ideas, here's the cat cover for the S1000R http://www.tecbike.de/BMW/1000-ccm/...S-1000-RR-original-KAT-von-Perfect-Parts.html

Here it is on my R

One of these, powdercoated black, for the XR that will hide the cat would go down a storm. I've had a few comments about the cat, so if you could make something that would hide it, and blend into the bike, you'll be onto a winner. Tecbike have sold loads for the R, and several owners for the XR want one on their bike. The quality of theirs was pretty crap though, and I know you could design something much better.

As Tecbike haven't developed one (yet), I reckon you'll get a fair few orders.

OOOHHHHH yessssssss

So it's just a cover then? Does it do anything other than 'cover'?

Stops the chain lube getting on the CAT which would be a bonus

could you do anything about the flimsy chain guard as well !

Yeah I was looking at the chain guard - I designed a reinforced one for the Suzuki v strom several years ago and I didn't need Viagra for days

It improves the overall look of the bike. It hides the crap on the cat, rather than stop it flicking up, but you can't see the cat once it's fitted, so it doesn't matter.:D

Ooh yeah, a nice chain guard would be :drool

We're gonna need a lot of wine!:D

couldn't`t find the v strom one but I found this off my beloved CB1300. This also did it for me in ways most pole dancers just couldn't`t :D

Now that with the XR logo in it and powder coated black would indeed be a thing of beauty !
