I'm new to this forum so...Got my 1200GS last Tuesday from Ocean in Plymouth secondhand 2.9ko on the clock (List price though), traded in my 1300 Pan. I hadn't even tested one (Read alot though) but I loved my previous 2000 GS1150 with a few reservations, the new one seemed to address most of them! The 250mile trip back was a lot easier on my backside than the Pan!! and I made it 220miles before the fillup at a steady 85, which was great as my one concern was the tank size (I'd still like morerange though) Will anyone address this I wonder? Its gonna be more difficult than the 1150.
Have done 500miles so far and its great. Mine had the final drive problem, BMW replaced the back end, but the owner had lost confidence, so I managed to avoid the list and not go through the pain of running in. Bike is immaculate with all the goodies.
I'd like to thank Sgt_BILKO and colleague for letting me know about this forum whilst stopped for a bite at Bristol services, it has been invaluable and I now know about tobinators and assorted goodies from Touratech and Wunderlich that will make my 400mile a week commute easier on me and the bike!
