Just bought myself an Ipod Nano came with music loaded on it :augie. So how can you upload more music onto it with out the PC wanting to wipe it clean before it dose the sync thing?
Any help welcome.....:aidan

Somewhere in iTunes preferences there will be a small box you can tick (or un-tick), effectively stopping iTunes doing the auto-sync. Having done this you can them manually manage your music by dragging tracks onto your iPod.

Hello Chap
Did find the tick box, but the PC still want to wipe the Ipod before it will load any music onto the pod. Does the Ipod have to be registered to stand a better chance of getting some where?

Cheers. :beerjug:

If you use the official software it will only let you link the ipod with a single machine, otherwise it'll wipe it regardless. You'll need something like Anapod or Ephpod to enable you to drag and drop new tracks and keep the old ones.

I think the 1st time an Ipod is connected to a new machine it has to sync with it and thus clean it :mcgun

i think you'll need a 3rd party program, as suggested above, that will let you upload what's on the ipod to itunes on the pc. from there you can manage the ipod as normal.

Don't wipe your music. I've bought a few dodgey broken Nanos to fix em up and you can download new tunes from your iTunes without wiping the Nano, also if you use Sharepod (free download) you can swop back to your pc from your iPod.
As stated above, when your ipod syncs with itunes it will give you a couple of tick boxes for options about whether you want it to automatically sync with iTunes when connected or not. Untick that option and make it MANUAL, then just drag an drop.

Cheers Chaps!

Own you all one....

Once again the bottomless pit of wisdom and knowledge of the BMW GS rider has saved the day again!

Many thanks.
