gps campsite locations

Hi, i want to buy a gps for the bike (and car), and am thnking of the 2610 / quest or tom tom rider when its finally released!!

As i am usually camping when touring it would be good to be able to search for campsites towards the end of the day, so i can just turn off the road i am on and head for the nearest one. Am i right in thinking the Garmin units dont have european campsites listed as POI's? If not, is there any 3rd party database i could import into the 2610 or quest, or do these units not support POI importing?

Any one know if the tom tom units eg GO etc can do this, or have campsites on? (i'm assuming if the Go has it then the rider will when it arrives)

Try www.gps4touring.com although it seems to show mainly French campsites. Sorry, but don't know if there is an UK equivalent. If there is, then let us know as this question seems to crop up pretty regularly.

I have been toying with the idea of creating a GPS file with waypoints for Welsh Campsites as a specific category. If there is a demand for it, I would be prepared to have a stab at it over the quieter Christmas period - unless of course someone knows of one already.

Uk based I believe, there is a campsite database on there - I've got it on my PDA with tomtom. Not sure about other compatability though.
