Chaps,
Does anyone know what current the GPS canbus outlet at the headstock of a GSA/GS will suffer before the brainbox shuts the system down??
Reason is I have an old GPS III+, which is currently wired to the canbus outlet, but have been lucky enough to upgrade to a Zumo 550 which I would like to run in tandem from the same socket.
Probably being a bit of an old woman about it, but I can make up a neat loom to run both units without yards of spare cable hidden under the tank/covers if the outlet will handle the load (which I suspect is small enough to have no effect whatsoever, the load that is).
Currently the 550 is wired direct to the battery which isn't ideal.
Fluff.

is this the case or should I be able to find it and download maps/routes/music straight off. I have followed the 550 manual destructions but haven't managed it yet. Some Janet and John instructions would be great if you have the time.
