B*gger! You mean GPS doesn't give you the right to ride through recently created subways???

Next time you're on the motorway, when you need fuel, instead of pulling in at a services tell it to find the nearest (to here, not to route) petrol then look for a Morrisons or other supermarket, or other garages you know you like. I've saved up to 8p a litre over the motorway prices which is getting on for 10%. Don't think the GPS has paid for itself just yet (not had it a year yet) but it should eventually.

Certainly the database gets out of date; garages close down and get redeveloped, but in my experience there's always another on the list. The worst case of this I had was in Birmingham where it sent me to three no longer existent garages before I got to one that was still open. Presumably the mapping updates include updates to stuff like this as well.

.. You can't generally tell that you're going to double-back on yourself from the pink line on the screen. There's the rub. Autozoom makes things worse, since it zooms ouy way-way too far for most journeys...
You do realise you can swith off Autozoom - dont you. Agree that it's a PITA and finding the off option made life easier.

In fact from reading posts on here, I don't remember anyone having a good word in favour of Autozoom.

You'll also find that it doesn't hold UK MacDonalds either. Apparently there isn't enough call for it in the UK :)

That is a definite bonus! Certainly not a shortfall! :clap

Makes it easier to avoid them if you know where they are though :)
