Well, here it is, THE GPS mount I need.
Using the Motorrad Concepts billet as the base and the BM* supplied bar clamp mounting unit and a piece om wood! (temporary for a template) this is what I came to;
It can be tilted to suit height/reflections.
Does not interfere wit the clocks.
Is nearer to the rider (easier to reach and see).
Simple in design and therefore installation and should be cheap.
The down side; it's only in wood at the moment so needs someone to make one (for me to "test" you understand).
The four mounting screws on the BM bracket just clear the MC billet piece behind (though this will not matter if the plate (my bit of wood) is of sufficient thickness. I'd say around 6mm.
The four screws that fix the plate to the MC billet obviously have to match those as supplied on the MC piece.
Works for me.
