Decided yesterday to have a go at making a sturdier bracket for my Garmin GPS.
I wanted to fit it above the clocks using something stronger than the plastics.
I have picked up on the two bolts (each side) that mount the windscreen plus an additional steady on the top of the instrument cover.
I made a wooden former, cut in the shape of the instrument pod to bend the aluminium to shape.
Works really well with virtually no vibration. Its powered through the bike sidelights so on, and off with the ignition.
I've just got to decide now whether to paint it black or silver, or leave it polished.
