GPS WAREHOUSE Stock Availability

Ok I've ordered one with a bike mount. reading this post I assume I'll have to wait a while.

Mine also took 8 days.

It came with v8 Mapsource (I was expecting v7) and the suggested power lead and mounting cradle were also supplied on time.

Many thanks to RAM-man for the advice - spot on! :thumb

Mine took 4 days . Ner ner ner ner ner.

But see my post in GPS info - I can't get it to talk to Memorymap v4

i reordered mine yesterday and was told that it would go out when they get their shipment in on friday so should be with me by monday/tuesday :thumb

Mine arrived yesterday 8 days or so after I ordered it. However GPSW were out of stock at the point of order and were completely honest with me about this. Every company gets their stock profile wrong at some point due to peaks in demand. No problem for me cos I understand this. They also emailed me to tell me this and then emailed me when they had stock and had despatched mine.

Sounds like good customer service to me not bad :thumb .

Do you get the same from a certain South Wales based outfit. No I don't think so. They're also selling 2610's for £390 on their website today incidentally.

Right iv'e loaded new Discs and mapping , version 8 , all down loaded fine to 256 card that only takes 244.5 :confused: It also allowed me to load new mapping to my SP111 data card ( internet copy card ) is this because the card didn't have to be registered with the SP111 when new :nenau
I'll test them in the morning in the car :thumb

* Power & audio lead
* Carry Case

Steve

I'm sure you've been asked a hundred times but what are the part numbers to ensure I get the right ones of the mounting parts listed above?

Cheers

Hold on for a few hours, there *may be* a single order gpsw code for the complete kit and for those on my buddies list a RAM-man upgrade pack if you have the gps.

I am also emptying my pm box :D now I'm orf for :beer:

Came back from a Peaks tour and the unit is all delivered and correct. For those that cast doubts on GPSW..... bad luck you were wrong. For those that seem to think that I am a whinger and wrong to start the thread then..bad luck to you as well. Asking an innocent question re stock and if anyone else had experienced the same waiting time ,then whats wrong with that? I have used GPSW before and have no bad things to say about them. They did say on the phone and on the web site that delivery would be 2-3 days and it was'nt. I have no problems with that but just wanted to check if others had got the same response. I have no bad things to say about them and as far as I can tell they are a top outfit who give great deals and prices that others cannot match. Do not tar all posters with the same brush.

Jon , Steptoe, Ram Man
Not an apology (do not think I need to give one) but thanks to GPSW for getting a great unit out to me for a great price.

Mine has arrived too!...... :clap
Have had a cursory check of the items included and can only find one CD which is the City Navigator set up and map DVD. The instructions talk about a " two pack set of cd's" and a "setup cd". Has this all been amalgamated onto one, or am I missing 2 cd's?
Any help would be oblidged. :confused:

I have also ordered a 2gb memory card. Good idea? As I see James Burton has manage to load all of his onto the 256mb card provided?

As far as delivery and packaging? Well done RAM-man, a fantastic piece of kit at a very affordable price.

The instructions pertain to the good old days of CD's and there were 3, a set-up disk and a 2 disk mapset, now its one DVD.

Well done on reading the instructions, most wouldn't bother :D

JB won't have got 'all' the mapsets on a 256MB card, for that you will need the 2GB card and it will save you changing the mapsets each time you want to travel in another area, just give yourself a few hours to set the card up with all the maps regions.

I'm tempted too.....

Hey RAM-MAN is the a bundle deal on this one yet with the cradle/power lead? :thumb

Can't see it on the gpsw :nenau

Sorry mate , what i meant was the discs had downloaded succesfully over the old mapsauce and i'd managed to transfer to the card aswell , i managed the bottom half of England and the top half of France on to the 256 card . :o

There's alot more info on version 8 than on my original , which was nearly 5yrs old and a 256 card would hold all of England and 90% of France ,' ish' .

As i previously said it also let me send the new mapping to my old SP111 cards :bounce1

I'm going to buy one of those 2 Gig cards aswell :D
