Hi all,

I am sure a load of you have already been, but it was my first trip to Salisbury Plain on Sunday and had an epic time! I have a WC GSA2014 and my mate has the 2012GSA. I use mine for a 145mile commute during the week, so was great to get it out on the trails!

I have Anakee 3's on, my mate has K60 Scouts (yes, they made a tyre to fit the non WC GSA!). We hit the Byways Open To All Traffic, some were gravel fire tracks effectively and others were no more than muddy rutted trails! Needless to say, I dropped by bike about 4 times, once at around 10MPH the others at no speed, but also no grip for the feet either! My mate had to put his down a couple of times too! Lots of hauling bikes around in the mud and foot dabbing other sections, but other places where standing up fair old speed can be done!

Sunday was around 18 degrees, saw a few walkers, one other guy on a Yamaha 250, who very kindly pointed us int he right direction, then ripped off across the trails! Good lad! Lunch in Marlbourough!

Highly recommend it if you fancy seeing what the bike can do in some off-road environment, just don't be too precious about your bike! I got home, washed off the caked mud and didn't find a single scratch! I was impressed!

Off roading beyond what the tyres could handle, all within the law using the correct Byways, hugely enjoyable! If your in the area and fancy getting a bit of mud plugging in, there are loads of BOATS, just grab a map and away you go. Just a heads up though, only a tiny section of the 'Ridgeway' is open to motor vehicles, so worth avoiding and heading to the BOATS all around!
